Teenage Driver Jailed for Fatal Crash After Inhaling Laughing Gas

Festive Drink and Drug-Drive Arrests in Greater Manchester

During the festive period, Greater Manchester Police conducted Operation Limit, targeting drink and drug drivers. From 1 December to New Year’s Day, 507 motorists were arrested for such offences.

Roadside checks across the region, including areas like Bolton, Bury, Salford, Tameside, and Wigan, aimed to reduce incidents related to impaired driving.

The operation also addressed other traffic offences, such as using mobile devices while driving, not wearing seatbelts, and speeding.

Chief Inspector Michael Parker emphasized the force’s zero-tolerance approach to such dangerous behaviors.

Bizarre Arrests: Man Hides in Dryer to Evade Police

In a peculiar incident reported in December 2024, over in the US, a Florida man wanted for multiple charges attempted to evade capture by hiding inside a clothes dryer.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office discovered the man “folded, not so neatly, inside a remarkably small dryer drum,” along with dryer sheets and mismatched socks.

The accused, who previously served seven years for various crimes, was taken into custody and faced additional charges.

This unusual hiding spot adds to the list of creative yet ineffective methods criminals have employed to avoid arrest.
